Hinsdale Pediatric Dentist Receives Tiny Elf Visitor for the Month of December

Dr. Miranda Albert, Hinsdale pediatric dentist, is using a storybook elf to entertain Brush Pediatric Dentistry patients.

When young patients visit Brush Pediatric Dentistry during the month of December, they’ll notice a new addition to the colorful patient rooms and dental equipment: Brush Pediatric Dentistry is now home to a mischievous elf named “Toothpick!”

Based on a popular Christmas storybook, a cute plush elf at Brush Pediatric Dentistry is said to have spontaneously invaded the dental practice. Dr. Miranda Albert, pediatric dentist at Brush, explains to patients that she found Toothpick perched on a dental light one morning, and he told her he would keep an eye on the children by day and visit Santa at night. Although little ones can be apprehensive about visiting the dentist, their eyes light up when they learn that Dr. Albert has a special elf visitor from the North Pole!

The idea of using an elf to provide a fun dental experience arises from a Christmas tradition Dr. Albert used to practice, where she would tell her patients that “Santa Cameras” in her office were reporting back to the North Pole. Dr. Albert believes that Toothpick does a good job of helping children feel at ease in the dental chair. The Brush staff love to tell stories they created about Toothpick to entertain patients; for example, one popular characteristic Toothpick possesses is his ability to “fly” on toy helicopters in the office.

Dr. Albert, pediatric dentist in Hinsdale, IL, welcomes new and regular patients alike to visit Toothpick and receive a dental examination. Roselle Dental Practice Starts Dental Benefits Reminder Campaign

Modern Essence Dentistry, dental practice in Roselle, IL, has started a campaign to remind patients to use up their dental benefits.

Modern Essence Dentistry, in Roselle, IL, uses Facebook and Twitter to remind patients there are only a few days left to use up their dental insurance benefits. While patients are typically aware that their dental insurance benefits for the year will be lost if left unused, many people simply forget to schedule dental appointments during the holiday rush.

Dr. Brainard G. Llanes, dentist at Modern Essence Dentistry, usually reminds his patients by mail and email, but this year, he is also using Facebook and Twitter to remind patients to use up their dental benefits before the new year arrives. By creating Facebook and Twitter posts about his holiday schedule and the easy-to-remember slogan, “If you don’t use it you lose it,” Dr. Llanes hopes to reach a rising demographic who may not sort through emails or mail on a daily basis, but will periodically check their social media accounts.

Modern Essence Dentistry welcomes existing and new patients alike to visit for a “last minute” appointment. The practice accepts most insurances, including PPOs and All Kids. To schedule an appointment, call (630) 582-0878. Dr. Llanes and his staff will do everything they can to accommodate all patients during the last days of December so they can take advantage of their 2011 insurance benefits.
